How to grow Horseradish

Another old fashioned plant, horseradish has a bit of bad reputation for being a little bit of a bully in the garden. It tends to like to wander and spread. However if you like to make your own horseradich cream or sauce, then you can control it fairly easily.

We consider horseradish to be best grown in containers, or at least confined in the garden. Try sinking a bottomless metal drum or other container into the ground with a little abobe the soil level. The horseradish can be planted in the drum, it tends not to like to go to deep so this helps it to stay in place.

Or simply grow it in a large container.
