Achillea Tomentosa is a low growing mat forming ground cover plant. A hardy spreading perennial that grows well in many areas of the USA. Suitable for use in rock gardens or between pavers 'Woolly Yarrow' is low growing with attractive yellow flowers in spring to summer. Referred to as Woolly yarrow or 'Dwarf Yarrow'. Using the hairs on the leaves to reflect light Achillea tomentosa or Woolly yarrow also uses its foliage to trap moisture and slow transpiration. |

Yellow flowers in spring rise 3" above the mat forming foliage which itself reaches only 3". Used as a ground cover plant Wooly Yarrow has soft attractive aromatic foliage and is the lowest growing Achillea. Fast growing and spreading, keep this plant is check in open areas, works well in the rock garden and requires little water except in dry conditions. Zones 3 - 11. |
