Agastache can take a season to settle in and are best left undisturbed for the first year. Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth commences, especially in colder areas.

Agastache does prefer a humus rich well drained soil, and although reasonably drought tolerant will benefit from the occasional watering during dry spells.

Agastache rupestris is a tall growing plant with pink flowers to 40", Agastache 'Ava' has deep pink to red flowers and is a lower growing cultivar. Agastache aurantica 'apricot sprite' has apricot - peach flowers, a great plant for attracting birds.
