|
Agave gemiflora is one of the most adaptable agaves of all agaves growing well in full sun to shade as long as it is not heavy shade. They do require a well drained soil and in all but the driest conditions require little to no water. Frost and extreme cold can be overcome by growing in pots or containers and overwintering indoors or similar sheltered position. Landscaping uses Care and Growing ConditionsGrown mainly for the foliage with its long mid green foliage, this is a neat symmetrical plant that will grow to cover around 3ft (1m) in a circle, excellent in a nice round terra cotta pot or container. |

Agave gemiflora will also provide a spectacular show of flowers with its real flower spike. After flowering the parent plant will die, however the offsets can be replanted to replace the plant. The foliage is more upright in full sun and more relaxed in shade.
